Michele Dale was the Project Manager for the Digital Enterprise Program in Far North Queensland and Torres Strait. She has over ten years experience as a University lecturer and is an experienced workshop chair and facilitator, with a commitment to improving community adoption of technology. Her past roles have included website and social media management, process improvement, communications and education. Michele is currently a Director of the Babinda Community Bank with extensive experience in executive roles in community groups, including Landcare, using her professional skills to build IT capacity in those groups.  Michele is passionate about sharing her love of technology with organisations so communities and individuals can reap the benefits being connected brings.

Robert owns and manages Rutten Technology Services, a Cairns based ICT business. As the shared CTO for a few local Cairns businesses, he works closely with clients to design and implement technology based solutions, specialising in marketing and business development. He has a Bachelor of Business from Curtin University, WA and after 20 years in the ICT industry, a wealth of experience in working with remote and regional businesses. Establishing RuttenTech in Cairns 12 years ago, Robert has successfully helped a range of clients to take advantage of technology to improve their business. For the last 4 years Robert has been a regular on regional radio with his talk-back show “Radio-Geek”, engaging with computer users giving him a unique understanding of the challenges faced throughout Far North Queensland.

Philip is a former Tafe Information Technology and Digital Media Teacher with his own IT Management Business serving the IT needs of small business, non profit organisations and community groups in the Cairns area.He has enjoyed a varied working career in financial services, retail and hospitality before achieving IT qualifications and starting his business in 2008, he was then invited to teach at Tafe in 2011.Philip has a passion for IT and genuinely enjoys helping people to solve their tech problems. He has the ability to explain complex technical concepts in plain english and then to apply needs based solutions for your individual situation. He is also our Apple expert.

James currently runs a small design studio on the Atherton Tablelands. He designs for traditional and online media and provides technical and marketing support to small business and organisations through the northern region.Having worked extensively in the community sector through galleries, public libraries and museums. He enjoys introducing people to the many and varied services which are provided online for self development, education and sharing. His training is “people focussed” and looks at both the work and social interests of those he works with.

Sue Wickes is an Online Marketing Consultant with her own business, Online Action, established in 2009 in Mission Beach. She is enthusiastic and passionate about empowering business owners with the knowledge and ability to understand and manage their website promotion and online marketing. Her work has included website consultation, online marketing strategies and reputation management, social media marketing, online marketing training and education. Sue works closely with Mission Beach Tourism on their online content and has been a strong contributor to many community projects and organisations in Mission Beach and on the Cassowary Coast.

 

Renee has over ten years’ experience working as a marketing and branding specialist. Her credentials include developing and implementing large scale, multi-million dollar strategies for some of Australia’s largest companies. During this time she has worked closely with designers, developers and clients to create innovative solutions that help clients to connect and engage with their audiences and deliver messages on time, on target and on budget. She is most passionate about sharing the infinite possibilities of the digital platform with people who otherwise  find the medium daunting or who have had little opportunity to realise its true power to connect individuals, communities, businesses, governments here in Australia and around the World.
