Digital Enterprise Program comes to an end in FNQ & TS

25 August 2015

That's a wrap - after 2 years, the Digital Enterprise Program FNQ & TS has finished. The program, managed by Michele Dale (seen here with Carolyn Emslie from the Cairns Garden Club) working with a small team of IT professionals under the regional brand 'Dive into Digital, has been well-received in far north Queensland, and provided many organisations with real-world skills to assist them with their online presence.

"Over 1100 people have attended our free group training events, representing over 750 unique organisations, and we have conducted over 180 face-to-face individual sessions," said Michele. "We covered a vast area in FNQ & TS. The key to our success was working alongside local organisations such as Councils and Town Authorities, Chambers of Commerce, local businesses and community organisations."

The trainers based their sessions on the materials freely available on the Department’s Digital business site where you can access free resources to help your organisation online: https://www.communications.gov.au/what-we-do/internet/digital-business.

We know this program has inspired many organisations to embrace the digital economy, improve their current online activity or sowed the seeds for future participation. If you took part in the program, we'd like to thank you and hope you continue to thrive online.
