Training in Cardwell – get your organisation online

3 August 2015

Cardwell businesses and community organisations get their chance this month to “dive into digital”, with the popular program running a free group training session on Wednesday 12 August from 5:30 – 7:30pm at The Anglican Church Community Hall, Cardwell.
The session, funded through the Australian Government’s Digital Enterprise Program (DEP), is being provided thanks to a partnership between Dive into Digital and the Cardwell & District Community Bank® Branch of Bendigo Bank, Cardwell and District Community Futures Forum Inc. and Cardwell Chamber of Commerce.
“This session is called ‘Getting online and social’ and will help organisations discover options for going online,” said Dive into Digital Project Manager, Michele Dale. “We also review how to use popular online tools like Facebook to promote your organisation, and tips for managing online feedback to engage your audience. This information session is open to all small-medium businesses and not-for-profit/community groups with an interest in how to make the most of being online.”
“Communities like Cardwell that already share real-world community spirit are able to take it online and build a supportive network in that space,” said Michele. “By sharing information online, a whole virtual world of opportunities can open up for individuals seeking greater work-life balance through to community groups chasing volunteers or conducting awareness raising activities”.
Participants at this session may then be eligible for up to 4 hours free one-on-one follow-up mentoring sessions at their place of work/organisation.
The free session will be held at The Anglican Church Community Hall, 125 Victoria St, Cardwell. Representatives of interested organisations (businesses or not-for-profit/community groups) can register attendance at or email email/info)( for more information.
